Awami League never tried to come to power by election: Annie in Lakshmipur

BNP's Joint Secretary General Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie said, there is a difference between the Awami League and BNP. The Awami League has been involved in looting and enforced disappearances. They have never tried to come to power through elections or speak as people's representatives.

He made these comments at the annual sports competition prize distribution ceremony at Dattapara Ram Ratan Multi-Purpose Ideal High School in Lakshmipur Sadar Upazila on Wednesday afternoon. During the event, Annie said, the Awami League has shown a middle finger to the electoral system. They have created a kingdom of looting by making educational institutions, students, and the people hostages.

Annie further said, Khaleda Zia's uncompromising leadership, her concern for the people of the country, her normal politics, and her relationship with the people have strengthened her position. People trust the words of the party's Acting Chairman, Tarique Rahman. It is clear from his words that he will not give any concessions to anyone. This is where the difference between the Awami League and the BNP lies. Tarique Rahman and the BNP want to establish the rights of ordinary students. Establishing the rights of students is only possible by BNP.

The prize distribution ceremony was chaired by M. Bellal Hossain, the president of the governing body of Dattapara Ram Ratan Multi-Purpose Ideal High School. The headmaster of the school, Mohammad Hanif, also gave a speech.
